ABOUT DECKPICS

Where fine art print, vinyl culture, music & motion come together.

THE STORY

PRINT MEETS VIDEO

DECKPICS is an original concept by multidisciplinary artist SLAM THE FLAP, combining physical fine art prints of turntables with music, motion and augmented reality.

Each print has its own QR-linked audiovisual AR layer that reimagines the ritual of playing vinyl: placing a record on the printed turntable, lowering the needle and setting the music in motion.

The physical artwork stays the same, while its digital content can change over time.

THE PRINT

MUSEUM-GRADE FINE ART GICLÉE PRINT

The core of every DECKPIC is a high-quality physical print, made to stand on its own.

Produced as a fine art giclée print on museum-grade archival paper, using pigmented inks for rich colour and lasting quality.

Available framed or unframed in five colour variations.

THE TECH

SCAN. POINT. PLAY.

Every print comes with its own QR code, linked directly to its unique audiovisual layer in augmented reality.

Scan the code and point your phone at the print. Watch the vinyl record drop onto the turntable, the needle lower and the music start to play.

No app. No setup. Just scan and play.

HOW IT WORKS

THE TUNES

FRESH NEW VINYL RECORDS

Every month, a new record drops onto each DECKPIC, bringing a new audiovisual experience to the same physical print.

The music and visuals are exclusively created by SLAM THE FLAP, ranging from original productions and remixes to sounds and other musical experiments.

Think of it as an evolving record collection on your wall, with something new on the turntable every month.

THE COLLECTION

THREE PRINTS. FIVE COLOURS

The collection consists of three different turntable prints, each available in five colour variations.

Each print has its own QR code and audiovisual experience, with unique sound and visuals.

Choose your favourite deck and colour, framed or unframed.

CREATED FOR THE LOVE OF VINYL

Turntables have been part of SLAM THE FLAP’s creative life for over 30 years. Starting out as a hip-hop DJ and turntablist, passion for turntables and vinyl never left.

Today, as a multidisciplinary artist working across art, sound, design, print and video, those roots come together in DECKPICS.
